Who is on Chris Tottman's list of top GTM consultants in the UK?

Four people, in The Directory, his LinkedIn series, on 5 June 2026: Matt Lerner, Hannah Ajikawo, Paul Sullivan and Alper Yurder. The post lists them without a ranking and says nobody paid to be on it. Tottman is a General Partner at Notion Capital, the venture firm he co-founded.

Chris Tottman’s unranked June 2026 shortlist contains Matt Lerner, Hannah Ajikawo, Paul Sullivan and Alper Yurder.
Four names in The Directory. The original list has no ranking.

What do Matt Lerner, Hannah Ajikawo, Paul Sullivan and Alper Yurder each do?

Matt Lerner co-founded SYSTM, which offers growth coaching, workshops and resources for startup teams. Matt wrote Growth Levers and How to Find Them and was on PayPal's early growth team. SYSTM's work centres on customer understanding, growth models and running experiments. Check the current programme format and availability directly.

Hannah Ajikawo founded Revenue Funnel. It works with B2B technology and services companies, typically with £10M to £100M in revenue. It diagnoses the commercial constraint and builds a roadmap. Clients can deliver that internally or have Revenue Funnel assemble and lead the fractional team that does it.

Paul Sullivan founded London-based ARISE GTM and wrote Go-To-Market Uncovered (Wiley, 2025). Its work includes go to market strategy, product marketing, revenue operations, HubSpot systems and customer lifecycle work for B2B companies. It builds and executes alongside the client's team.

Alper Yurder founded Forte Growth, which builds and runs a company's go to market and marketing: the message, outbound, content, CRM and sales process. The company keeps what Forte builds and can hand it to its own team or keep Forte running it.

How do you choose a GTM consultant in the UK?

Start by writing down the job you need done. “Help us grow” leaves too much open.

The jobWhat you need to leave with
Help the current team work out what to testA clear growth model, customer evidence and experiments the team can run
Build a missing part of the commercial systemThe message, campaign, CRM process or other agreed work built and usable
Run the work every weekPeople responsible for delivery, follow-up, reporting and changes based on what buyers do

One provider may do more than one of these. Ask which work is included in your engagement and what still needs someone on your side. Coaching needs a team with time to apply it. A build needs someone to run it afterwards. Ongoing delivery needs a clear scope too.

If your sales and marketing already work and you need extra capacity in one channel, a specialist may be enough. The hands-on go to market partner guide covers how to check the work, results and handover before you choose.

Three kinds of engagement: help the team learn, build missing work, or run ongoing delivery.
Agree which work you are buying. One engagement can include more than one.

What should you ask before hiring a GTM consultant?

Ask for named results with a timeframe, the person who will do the work each week, what goes live in the first month and what stays with you if you stop. A checkable answer looks like this: with Forte Growth, Wyzr went from a standing start to 17 booked calls and 53 interested leads in under 30 days.

What does Forte Growth do?

Forte Growth builds and runs your go to market and marketing: outbound, inbound, content, founder brand, sales process, CRM and automation. It keeps improving it until it gets you results, with outbound live in week three. You own all of it.

Alper Yurder, founder of Forte Growth, has carried the number himself: three times a CRO, one IPO, one exit and $60M+ revenue closed. As CRO at Witco he took UK revenue from £0 to £1M, starting with a 90-day market-entry play.
